This article critically examines the poetry of Fahmīdah Riyāz, a fearless and revolutionary poet of the 20th century who played a significant role in shaping progressive literary discourse in South Asia. Closely associated with the Progressive Writers’ Movement, her poetry is marked by its bold expression, social consciousness, and defiance against oppression.
