Revenue Sources and Advertising Policy
AL-ĪMĀN Research Journal (IRJ) is committed to maintaining editorial independence, transparency, and responsible publishing practices.
The journal's financial and business arrangements must not influence the academic evaluation, peer-review process, editorial decisions, or publication of scholarly content.
1. Revenue Sources
The primary revenue source of AL-ĪMĀN Research Journal (IRJ) is the publication fee charged for accepted research articles, as described in the journal's Publication Charges Policy.
The publication fee is used to support the journal's editorial, peer-review, production, publishing, website, digital preservation, DOI, and general administrative activities.
The journal may receive other legitimate institutional or organizational support where applicable.
Any financial or institutional support received by the journal must not determine which manuscripts are accepted, rejected, revised, or published.
2. Editorial Independence
Financial considerations, publication charges, institutional support, sponsorship, or other sources of revenue must not influence editorial decisions.
Editors and reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts according to academic quality, originality, relevance, research integrity, and the journal's published editorial and peer-review policies.
Payment of a publication fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
3. Publication Charges
The journal's current publication fee is stated separately in its Publication Charges Policy and is publicly available on the journal website.
The publication fee is charged only in accordance with the journal's published policy and does not affect the academic assessment of a manuscript.
4. Institutional and Organizational Support
Where the journal receives institutional or organizational support, such support is intended to facilitate scholarly publishing and journal operations.
Support providers do not control:
-
Editorial decisions;
-
Peer-review outcomes;
-
Reviewer selection;
-
Manuscript acceptance or rejection;
-
Publication timing based on academic considerations; or
-
The scholarly content of published articles.
5. Advertising Policy
AL-ĪMĀN Research Journal (IRJ) does not currently operate a commercial advertising program on its journal website or within its published scholarly articles.
The journal therefore does not accept advertisements as a source of editorial influence or as a condition for publication.
If the journal introduces advertising in the future, a clearly stated advertising policy will be published before advertisements are accepted.
6. Future Advertising
If advertising is introduced, advertisements will be kept clearly separate from scholarly content and editorial material.
The journal will consider advertisements only where they are appropriate for the journal's scholarly environment and consistent with applicable laws, ethical standards, and the reputation of the journal.
Advertisements must not:
-
Influence editorial decisions;
-
Be presented as scholarly content;
-
Mislead readers or authors;
-
Suggest endorsement of a product, service, organization, or individual by the journal unless explicitly stated and appropriately justified; or
-
Interfere with the accessibility or readability of published articles.
7. Responsibility for Advertising Decisions
If advertising is introduced, responsibility for accepting or rejecting advertisements will remain separate from the academic editorial decision-making process.
Individuals responsible for advertising or administrative matters will not have authority to influence peer-review outcomes or editorial decisions on scholarly manuscripts.
8. Separation from Editorial Content
Any future advertisements will be visually and functionally distinguishable from scholarly articles, editorial material, peer-review content, and other academic content.
Advertising will not be used to create the appearance that an advertisement is part of the scholarly record.
9. Sponsorship and Special Support
Where applicable, sponsorship or financial support for journal activities may be acknowledged transparently.
Sponsors or supporting organizations will not be permitted to determine editorial outcomes or alter the scholarly content of published articles.
Any potential conflict between financial support and editorial independence will be managed according to the journal's Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure Policy.
10. Transparency
The journal is committed to making its relevant business practices and revenue sources transparent to authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders.
Any significant change to the journal's revenue model or advertising practices will be reflected in the relevant information published on the journal website.
11. Direct Marketing and Solicitation
Any communication or marketing conducted on behalf of AL-ĪMĀN Research Journal (IRJ) should be accurate, professional, appropriately targeted, and consistent with scholarly publishing standards.
The journal will not knowingly provide misleading information regarding its editorial processes, indexing status, publication fees, affiliations, or scholarly services.
Direct marketing activities must not be used to misrepresent the journal or pressure authors into submitting manuscripts or purchasing services.
12. Policy Updates
This policy may be reviewed and updated when necessary to reflect developments in scholarly publishing, journal operations, and recognized publishing standards.
Any significant changes will be clearly communicated on the journal website.
